We are currently looking to fill an HR Director position at L2TMedia!

Job Summary

L2TMedia is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our senior management team. Leading a team of two, the individual will play a critical role in helping the organization achieve its human resources strategy of creating HR operational excellence and attracting, engaging and retaining top talent.

Responsibilities
 
  • Establish a company’s strategic talent acquisition framework including the following:
    • Effective recruitment philosophy for attracting, screening and hiring top candidates for all levels and functions within the organization (executives; people/business managers; individual contributors).
    • Partnership with hiring managers to understand their resource needs and create effective job descriptions.
    • Streamlined recruiting process minimizing days to fill while ensuring candidates meet the desired skillsets.
  • Facilitate strategic talent planning efforts through the following:
    • Development and maintenance of career leveling guides for all roles within the organization.
    • Coaching supervisors and managers to develop their staff along established career progression lines.
    • Completion of annual talent assessments for all employees.
  • Provide professional, proactive, and transparent consultancy to management and leadership at various levels, including morale and productivity improvement opportunities, time management best practices, core-competency benchmarks, code of ethics observations, behavior gaps, and development recommendations.
  • Partner with management and leadership at all levels to focus employees on achievement of organizational goals, acting as an employee champion and change agent to assist with coaching, performance review, performance planning, retention planning, succession planning, career development counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead the integration of L2TMedia’s core values into HR systems and Practices.
  • Develop and administer the annual employee engagement survey, summarize results, and guide managers in developing effective action plans. 
  •  Responsible for managing all Human Resource and compensation initiatives, including the following:
    • Maintenance of Employee Handbook summarizing all L2T Employee Policies.
    • Communication with employees on a regular basis regarding updates or notifications about all aspects of employment (i.e., holidays, policy updates, new programs, etc.).
    • Maintenance of physical and virtual employee personnel files according to legal and company policies.
    • Drafting and administration of compensation plans for all employees.
    • Communication with payroll for all employees or compensation changes.
    • Design and administration of the annual performance management process (performance evaluations, 180 feedback, goal setting).
    • Coordination of benefits coverage and employee liaison with insurance broker and provider.
    • Coordination of offboards, including preparation of all termination paperwork and facilitation of exit interviews.
    • Coordination of all onboards, including employee setup, HR orientation and company training.
    • Assessment of companywide training needs, development of training curriculum and delivery of required training programs.
    • Knowledge of employment legislation to ensure company compliance with required state and federal laws.
    • Consultation with outside counsel as necessary.

Education Requirement
 
  • Bachelor's degree required, with emphasis in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Behavior or related areas preferred.

Required Skills
 
  • Must be able to maintain hybrid work schedule and commute to Evanston, IL.
  • HR professional with 10+ years of combined working experience in multiple HR disciplines such as talent acquisition, organizational strategy, performance management, talent and leadership development, employee relations, and/or HR business partnership.
  • Experience in HR system implementation and integration of data.
  • Must be quick to possess a thorough understanding of both the operational and strategic side of the business.  Must be able to translate business strategy into people priorities and plans and deliver against challenging productivity improvement targets for different roles.
  • Commitment to continuous process improvement in people strategies and initiatives.
  • Ability to relate to, influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and rapidly changing environments.
  • Flexible and high tolerance for ambiguity.
  • High performer who is committed to excellence.

Preferred Skills
 
  • PHR, SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000 to $165,000 plus bonus and based on experience and location of where the job is performed.
